New to GAI Translate™?
GAI is an AI translation platform that is fast, accurate and secure. You can be up and running in minutes translating complex information with ease and precision. Powered by an ultra-pure data lake and designed with the highest level of security and privacy protocols in place, so you can be confident that your information is safe.
The Expert Review feature provides an extra level of advanced editing by linguists who are vetted, native speakers with industry credentials to guarantee precise results.
You can seamlessly integrate our technology with your existing systems, including e-learning and websites via API.
Product features
To guarantee uninterrupted service for all users, we implement a Fair Usage limit. This means you can translate a maximum of 3,000,000 characters (approximately 400,000 words) in a single session across multiple languages. Additionally, you can translate documents up to 40GB in size per session.
Of course! We offer assistance with glossary creation as part of our Precision subscription plan. If you have a different subscription level, we can still provide this service for an additional fee. Just get in touch and we will assist!
If you are already a client using our professional translations services your TMs are automatically connected to GAI Translate™, to ensure your content is used alongside GAI MT. Linguists will have access to your TMs when reviewing your translations, so Expert Review gives you the assurance that your translations will be consistent with previous content.
If you are a new client, we can start collating content in your dedicated TMs if you opt for Expert Review. Alternatively, we can discuss engine training options. Please contact us for more information on this.
Yes, GAI Translate™ can process PDFs in 200 languages.
While our PDF conversion technology continuously improves, it may not achieve flawless results and might encounter challenges in converting certain non-searchable text.
Glossaries are currently available for the same languages combinations as GAI Translate™ and must have English as either source or target language.
Yes. Our AI translation platform records any changes or updates made to the content. It is then stored in our data lake and called upon when needed.
Simply click on the Expert Review button underneath your translation. Your content will be automatically assigned to one of our expert linguists and returned once ready. You will receive an email notification and an alert on the GAI platform when your translation is complete.
You can easily use our API for website translation. Our team can assist your developers with integration, and we also provide documentation to help you get started.

Subscription and credits
Yes, you can cancel at any time, but note that you will still have access to your account and token allowance until the end of the subscription period. The subscription won’t be renewed for the following period.
No, our billing cycles correspond with your chosen subscription period.
Tokens from GAI Express and GAI Precision do not roll over to the next month or any new subscription period.
However, if you have PAYG tokens and decide to switch to a subscription, your remaining PAYG tokens will be transferred to your subscription as Add-ons.
Add-ons are valid from the moment of purchase until the end of your current GAI Translate™ subscription period. See an example below:

When you reach the end of your allowance you won’t be able to process translations anymore. You can upgrade to a higher subscription tier or purchase an Add-on to increase your allowance.
A token is a digital representation of a text unit; a slightly different amount of tokens is used depending on the target languages you choose to translate into.
Standard Languages (1 token = 1 word): Central, Eastern and Southern European, South American
Premium Languages (1.35 token = 1 word): Northern European, African, Asian
1 month, however our yearly subscription offers you savings. We also offer PAYG bundles, which are valid for 60 days.
Payment
Payments for standard subscriptions, Add-ons, and PAYG bundles can be made by card through your GAI Translate™ account. All payments are securely processed by Stripe. For more details, please refer to our Terms of Use.
We offer monthly and annual billing cycles for our subscriptions, as well as PAYG options. Choosing the annual subscription offers cost savings.
Security
Here is what you should keep in mind when using free translation tools:
- Tradeoffs – free tools do not cost anything, but by using them you accept the terms that allow these free translation services tools providers to use your data in various ways that benefits these companies, not the data owners.
- Commercial gain for free tool providers using your data – these companies not only use your data to improve their services, but also utilise it to make commercial, marketing decisions and create other revenue streams – e.g., develop other tools that they can then sell because they are powered by your data.
- You agree to license your IP rights and consent to your data be shared with other people and companies – along with IP license directly to the free tool provider, you also give consent for them to sublicense these rights to various contractors that they work with, and this can be done for purposes that are usually described in a very generic and all-encompassing way.
- You cannot remove your content after you upload it – this is specifically true with any web based free translation tools – once you upload something and click ‘translate’, you cannot remove that content, so you essentially give them a perpetual license to use your content.
With GAI Translate™, you get out what you put in – we only use your data with your consent and only to directly benefit you and your requirements. We do not sell your data or share it with any third parties that could use it for their own gain. With GAI Translate™, you can be sure that your data will not only be securely stored and handled, but also only used to support you and your language needs.
We retain copies of the texts and documents you upload for translation and store these as per our retention policy – currently for up to 3 years. All data we own or retain is stored in virtual servers provisioned through Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure with datacenter located in London, United Kingdom, with secondary back-up locations available in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in case of outage.

Translation
Whether or not you need a review by our expert linguists depends on the content you are translating and the scope of your project.
For content that would be used externally or that requires more creativity, we recommend opting for Expert Review.
The accuracy levels are very good and generally only slight edits are required by a linguist.
That said, for creative outputs or situations where a high level of source meaning interpretation is required (i.e., context is very important), a more thorough human intervention might be needed. This is where Expert Review would be a better option.
With our Glossary feature, you can upload your preferred terms to ensure they are consistently used in translations. Alternatively you can request a tailored engine training solution from us.
The Glossary feature on GAI Translate™ lets you upload individual terms or entire term bases that will be incorporated into your translations. When you initiate a translation, you have the option to apply your glossaries. Terms uploaded by your company’s subscription administrator will automatically join your term pool. However, you retain control over the relevance of these terms for your projects.
When processing files on GAI Translate™, users should be aware that the following elements will not be translated: watermarks, uneditable images within editable files (such as those in Word or PowerPoint documents), embedded forms (such as surveys or quizzes) and ink annotations.
In addition to these untranslated elements, the presence of pivot tables and real-time data may cause issues when opening the file after processing it through GAI Translate™.
Hyperlinks in editable files will generally be retained after translation. However, hyperlinks within PowerPoint speaker notes are an exception; these will not function as clickable links after the file has been processed through GAI Translate™. To access them, users will need to view them through the Notes Page View.
Translation memories are sensitive to segmentation of the text and any minor variation in your source could impact the output. Note that translation memories do not work in the same way as glossaries and do not offer single terms.
